InFlow for apple instal free2/7/2024 ![]() My understanding is that pump motors are not meant to be 'constant' duty, just 'intermittent' duty. What this means is that your pump is now a slave to you opening your tap.and the pump will have to run constantly as long as the tap is open. At some point, the inflatable diaphram inside the ballast bell can give out.and then it's no longer able to provide pressure for your system. Ours is a submerged electric pump system with a similar ballast for pressurizing the system. I can't speak for the possibility of your check-valve being the culprit or involved in some way, but the symptom you are describing is one that we've dealt with before on a similar system. Same problem.Ĭould the new check valve between the pump and the pressure tank be the problem? Or is my new bit of piping on the inlet side of the pump causing issues? Or did something unrelated happen while I was messing with it all? I thought that maybe there was too much air in the pipes so I purged them really good and tried again. Now that I turn the electric pump on, when it hits 50psi, it kicks on and of repeatedly until I flip off the breaker. Long story short, the hand pump has a leak (due to my lack of skills) so I pulled it out and capped the unions while I figure that out. While doing this I had the electric pump removed and partially drained so I had to reprime it to get it working again. After the electric pump I added a check valve to keep the hand pump from pushing water back through the electric pump in a circle. ![]() This Tee feeds the inlet of the hand pump. To implement it, I modified my plumbing to add a Tee between the inlet of the pump and the check valve at the top of the well. I am adding a hand pump to my house plumbing so that if the power is out I can still pump water from my shallow (sand point) well. We would not recommend this for day-to-day usage though as the screen on any smartphone is quite a bit smaller than would be ideal for accessing the program.Ok, I thought I knew what I was doing. We have not yet tested this environment, but similar to the tablet section above, it should be possible to remotely control a PC running inFlow with your smartphone. The performance was reasonably good under a WIFI LAN connection. However, there were some issues with text getting cut off and we felt that typing was less convenient than when using a keyboard and mouse. Having this mobility would let you take orders on the go, impress people in a meeting, or walk around a warehouse while checking the expected stock levels. We have informally tested this on an iPad, and felt that inFlow worked surprisingly well. It’s also possible to run inFlow on a Windows PC where remote desktop has been enabled (steps can be found for Windows XP, Vista, Win 7, or Win 8 by following these links), and then use an app to remotely control the PC from the tablet. That’s discussed in a little more detail on our blog here. The new series of Pro tablets running full versions of Windows 8 or Windows 10 can run inFlow. (We have not tested running inFlow using the Wine software on Linux.) For iPad / Android / Windows tablets You may also run a Windows Virtual Machine using software like VMWare. We suggest dual-booting Windows and Linux. Note that if you do use Parallels to run inFlow, and you would like to use multi-user mode, sometimes it may not work due to the way Mac sets up it’s network settings. Please see this guide for more information on how you can try to fix this. In both cases, you can then install and run inFlow in the Windows environment. You might also consider Parallels to run a virtual copy of Windows from within Mac OS. You may try using the Bootcamp tool included with Mac OS X Leopard to boot into Windows from your computer. Please keep in mind that this will require you to have a copy of Windows for use on your device. InFlow On-Premise only runs on Windows, but there are some ways to access a Windows environment from other machines. Please note this feature isn’t supported by the inFlow team
